Icons are small pictures, boxes and graphics that are supposed to be implemented in computers because they are really essential and significant. You would see them almost everywhere when it comes to the computer usage and guidelines. These icons are deliberated separately for the menu, my computer, my document, internet explorer or for any other software that is installed in your system for the application. Icons are implemented in order to explain an idea and a short description of how their function is like. It could be in the form of a picture, a number, a letter or anything that you can think of. Icons can convey meaning and they can portray the task of the computer program you are about to click on.
Icons are considered really an effective tool when it comes to instant messaging and online voice and recording chats etc. You can use them to represent your identity and your personality, put photographs through them and use the color schemes of your choice as per requirement as well. If you don’t know someone’s language, these could be the best way of knowing what is behind the sentences or even small words and phrases.
There are separate icons for separate functions of the windows operating system. Icons could be categorized according to that they enhance and improvise in terms of getting an explanation. Creating an icon on the other hand is creative and technical work. Purpose and place where the icon would be used matters a lot. It has to be simple and not complicated enough; it should deliver its meaning properly to everyone and anyone who checks it once.
